-Riser Twist from hell that sends you into a plummeting departure from the sky back down to earth.
Now this was mostly caused because the pilot was inexperienced. It’s not necessarily the fault of the equipment. That being said, the gentleman’s equipment in the video definitely didn’t help him in this situation. If this pilot had low fixed hang points, this would not have turned out the same way at all. Getting pilots the correct amount of instruction will prevent a lot accidents like this from happening. We at Extreme PPG are just glad that the pilot didn’t keep pushing higher and higher before the riser twist and unfortunate brake pull stalled him back into earth.
